You fly into Cape Town international airport and then either drive towards Franschhoek or we arrange an airport pick-up for you. The drive to Franschhoek takes about an hour from Cape Town. Once in Franschhoek you drive along the main road towards the monument, take a right at the intersection and then follow the road for about 2 km, after which you will see our wooden gate on your right-hand side.

Sterrekopje loves all seasons and the Sterrekopje journey is not strongly depended on the weather. Our summer months are from November to February. Autumn falls from March until May with nice but not hot weather, a nice time for hiking. July and August are the coldest and most rainy months of the year. Sterrekopje is closed during these two months to rest and regenerate. We re-open in springtime in September.
